Prof. Dr. Merlin Teodosia Suarez is Professor of Computer Science at De La Salle University (Philippines), where she works on systems that analyze user emotions and behavior using machine learning. She was also chosen as a United Board Fellow in 2017, joining the first cohort to study at the Harvard Institutes for Higher Education, part of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
As a member of the Fellows Program, she spent two months at Hong Kong University of Technology, observing campus life and learning from its academic leaders.
As an administrator, she served as Dean of the College of Computer Studies at De La Salle University where she spearheaded the revision of its curriculum to conform to outcomes-based education principles. She also served as Vice-Chancellor for Academics at De La Salle University, where she led the redesign of its undergraduate programs, including interdisciplinary general education courses, a gap year, and minor programs. Leonilo is a “Dangal Ng Bayan” Award-winning educator. The “Dangal Ng Bayan” Award from Philippines government is conferred to an individual for performance of the extraordinary act or public service and consistent demonstration of exemplary ethical behavior on the basis of adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. He is also the recipient of Asian Achiever Award (2019), Gawad Pat National Award (2019), Outstanding Research Advocate of The Philippines Award (2019) and Most Outstanding Teacher Award (2018).
As a research advocate, it has been his advocacy to promote the culture of research by developing school-based research management in the region. He has initiated research capacity building for new researchers in the government and private schools. His network with other international organization became a bridge in hosting international research conferences in the Singapore, Bangkok, Philippines and Vietnam. His love for less fortunate moved him to conduct studies and advocacies for community development in the depressed areas and initiated literary and faith program to select children of Macabebe, Pampanga, Philippines.

Dr. PHILIP ARNOLD TUANO
Dr. Tuaño is currently a lecturer at the Economics Department of the Ateneo de Manila University. He served as Director III of the Macropolicy Unit of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) wherein he represented NAPC in inter-agency meetings with the National Economic and Development Authority, Department of Budget and Management, United Nations Development Program, World Bank and other policy and aid organizations. He also coordinated with the Social Weather Stations in the use of social surveys for poverty measurement and anti-poverty planning and programming.
He also had engagements with the Caucus of Development NGO Networks, and the Foundation for Media Alternatives. His area of specialisation is Development Economics. Mr. Tuaño completed his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of the Philippines. V. Raja Sreedharan is an Assistant Professor in the Rabat Business School, Université Internationale de Rabat. Before joining, the Rabat Business School, he worked in the AACSB Institution Amrita University, India and prior to that he has worked as a faculty member at Anna University.

Umesh Bawa is a clinical psychologist and senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. He is the director of the International Relations Office for the entire University, tasked with enhancing the global profile of the university’s academic, scholarly and socially conscious community engaged mission. He also serves as a senior team member on key community-engaged research projects led by the University of South Africa’s Institute for Social and Health Sciences.
He has worked in the fields of violence rehabilitation, trauma and human rights in South Africa, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Chile. He has served on the Council for the International Society for Health and Human Rights, and was until recently the Director of the Children for Tomorrow- South Africa Project, a free psychological service for children traumatised by violence in impoverished communities in the Western Cape province of South Africa. He was also Director of the Induction Programmes conducted by Teaching Learning Centre, sponsored by Ministry of HRD at Ramanujan College, University of Delhi.
He looks after the National Resource Centre – Commerce Discipline sponsored by MHRD at SRCC.
He has supervised research at IIT, Delhi, Melbourne University and Department of Commerce, Delhi University and has acted in a consultative capacity to corporations, renowned institutions of higher learning, and is a sought - after speaker notably in research methodology, human behaviour and finance. He has conducted numerous workshops and training programmes at Institutions like Punjab Police Academy, Ramanujan College-DU, CPDHE-Delhi University, Academic staff College- Guru Jambheshwar University, MDU Rohtak, Manav Rachna University etc.
He has to his credit forty-five research papers, with publications on topics like Fuzzy Financial Ratios, Mergers and Acquisitions, Servant Leadership, Spirituality, Green Purchasing Intentions, Default Probability, Trust etc.
